We have some very exciting news! Our house is under contract! This was somewhat unexpected. Our house was on the market for several months, but we decided to take it off the market for the holidays, maybe until spring. However, an agent who had shown the house to a couple a week or two before taking it off the market called shortly before New Years Day and asked to show the house again, even though it wasn't on the market again. They made an offer, we negotiated a little, and eventually settled on one. And what's even better news...we just happened to find a house in Dunwoody and are under contract on that house, too! It has more space than we need, it's in the school district we wanted, and we are so excited to finally be in that area. It's everything we wanted. I'm sad to be leaving the good friends we've made in our current neighborhood, but we are busting at the seams here so I know it's time to move on. Here is one picture of our soon to be new house...
The new house has a huge bonus room that will be a great room for the girls, a big unfinished basement, and a walk-up attic. STORAGE! Finally! The house needs some cosmetic work on the inside, but it is very clean and livable as is. We will slowly be able to make some changes, and it will be exactly what we want over time. We couldn't be happier to find such a great family home for our girls! We are estimating a move in date in late March or April, if all goes smoothly. Keep your fingers crossed!
